On March 21st, the first official day of spring, St. Mark’s Church of Clairemont gave a special gift to the Project Mercy school in Mexico—funding and building new classrooms for the children we serve.

A group of volunteers came down from the church and, with cheerful determination—even in the heat—built a brand new two-story, two-room set of classrooms.

Project Mercy is very proud of the work we have done to educate children at the school. Located in a very poor neighborhood, we wholeheartedly believe that education can break the cycle of poverty. Now, thanks to St. Mark’s UMC, we can offer more children an education and spread even more hope for a brighter future.

Our profound gratitude goes to Eric Robinson, who spearheaded the event, and to our many friends at St. Mark’s.
