St. Marks Church of San Diego and Mike Meziere, both longtime supporters of Project Mercy, made April 26 a very special day. While St.Mark’s worked on the school, Mike Meziere brought family and friends to build a new home for a needy family just a few yards away. We thank both St. Marks Church, and Mike Meziere for their profound care and compassion, as well as their comprehension of the need, and the difference one day can make. Gracias amigos.

MIKE MEZIERE
Mike has been working with Project Mercy for a good 24 years. He has built and led innumerable groups in house-builds, with a wide range of teams from the US. On Saturday he once again made a life changing gift of a new home for the Moreno Tirado family. He has made an incredible difference to many many lives just south of the border and Saturday he made one more family’s dreams come true.

ST.MARKS UMC OF CLAIRMONT
St Marks UMC in Clairmont have been involved in all our school builds since 2019. This past Saturday they both provided funding and volunteered to construct another school building. John Zawis, our construction manager, designed a two story extension to the Project Mercy school we operate in a small neighborhood east of Tijuana. It consists of two classrooms which will enable us to enroll more students. The school has been a great success, with currently over 64 students. There is a waitlist of 30+ children for whom, with new classrooms, we can now offer an education. St. Mark’s worked hard all day to make everyone’s dream dream of expansion a reality.
