RB Sunrise & Coronado Rotary Clubs Double House Build In Mexico

This past weekend was filled with joy, hard work, and transformation in the colonia of Los Pinitos. Two families now have safe, solid homes and a renewed sense of hope for the future.

THE FAMILIES

Itzel and Luis have been living with their young sons in a makeshift home made of foam panels with a dirt floor, facing harsh weather and health challenges. Brenda and Cristian, along with grandma, have been raising their daughter Lilit in a home built from scrap material that offered little protection from the rain.

THE VOLUNTEERS

We’re especially grateful to the Rotary Clubs who made this weekend’s builds possible:

• Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary, led by the unstoppable Kim Muslusky—artist, decorator, and chief designer f the now-famous Project Mercy latrines
