It is said that “a picture is worth a thousand words” and the photos below do just that.
On March 9th Carlsbad Rotary returned to work with us in Mexico once again. They are truly a great crew. The team was skilled and eager to get to work building a house for a needy family. This time the Calixto Delgado family and their three children ranging in age from 4 to 17, were the lucky recipients of a new home. Because their site led us to customize the house a little, mom Laura was really excited to be able to choose where she wanted to locate the windows and door as well as her bedroom. It was touching to witness her happiness and excitement.
“We are eager to continue to work with Project Mercy.” said Rachael Hopkins, member of Carlsbad Rotary club. Joe Ramirez, Secretary of the Club and the Youth Exchange Program, sent a wonderful collection of photos they took on the day spent in the neighborhood where the Calixto Delgado family live.
We send yet another shout-out to team leader Mike for his excellent work and dedication to both the Mexican families and compassionate house building teams supporting the Project Mercy program.
You will all be welcomed back at any time. Thank you.
