Project Mercy school celebrates Primavera!

La Primavera is a Spanish term that translates directly to “The Spring,” referring to the season of the year characterized by the blooming of flowers and the transition from winter to summer. The word stems from the Latin prima (first) and vera (green/verdure), collectively implying the “first greening” of the earth.

Primavera is celebrated each spring at the Project Mercy school in a celebration organized by the teachers, parents and students. Leading up to the celebration teachers worked with their students to lear and practice songs and dance to be performed during the celebration. This performances were full of original costumes, traditional dances and songs. After the performances food was served, students rode the mechanical bronco and many photos were taken at the photo booth.

It was a wonderful day of dancing, relaxation and home cooked foods on a beautiful day at the school.
