On December 16 the annual Posada took place at Project Mercy Baja’s school in Mexico. It was a day of joy and fun. We started with gift giving, followed by candy canes and hugs all around.
The teachers provided lunch for the 50 plus happy children and then it was time for dancing and games. Our friend and helper Nacho joined in musical chairs with John Zawis, John’s brother, Paula Claussen and one of the teachers.
Then it was time for the Pinatas! There were squeals of fun and chanting and hand-clapping and delight when John joined in and the Pinata finally broke, spilling candy for all.
It was a day where the true Spirit of Christmas came shining through.
