Nineteen year old Diana was in an abusive relationship but had the courage to leave it all behind and start a new life with her young children and mother. However their economic situation is dire, grandmother Leonor earns just $84 per week and they struggle to survive on a daily basis.

Diana says: “I dream of a better house to be able to live a better and more dignified life. I especially want the children to be in a cleaner place, free of dust, insects and vermin. It would give us the chance for a brighter future.

We are all so grateful to our friend Melanie who sponsored this home. On January 29 our Mexican crew, together with John Zawis and volunteers from San Diego, built the Custodio Morales family a strong and secure new house. Thank you all.
