Our hard working friend Roberto has become a local “Robin Hood” in Mexico. With funds donated by a private party and wearing a face mask, Roberto purchased essential food items that he delivered to families in one of the poor colonias where Project Mercy Baja has been working.

Roberto diligently wore his mask and gloves and kept to social distancing guidelines. He made up 10 bags of food which he dropped off in Colonia Jose Torres for families that earn a living by recycling materials from the local recycling plant. Sometimes they make but $40 a week and right now it is hard to sell anything.

Project Mercy has already built homes for several of these families but there are others whose build dates had to be cancelled and who are still waiting until we can return. We are so proud of our friend Roberto and his desire to continue to help those in need during our enforced absence from the colonias.
