On December 10th the Holiday Spirit was evident in a fast growing neighborhood east of Tijuana where Project Mercy has been building for the past couple of years. Craig Schniepp brought down around 20 people from the La Jolla High School Interact club to build a home for the Arguiano Martinez family of six. Right across the road Project Mercy chairman Dave Mason and members of his “Wild at Heart” group, were working on the construction of a home for the young Aparicio Lopez Family and their two little children. Both families were over the moon at their own Christmas miracle of a home of their own.

We even built in Christmas colors: RED and GREEN.

In a nearby neighborhood where we had built the previous week, Christmas joy and decorations were on display. Children were delighted with Christmas gifts and although his gift of a truck with lights and sounds was not wrapped, young Drian Sosa insisted on putting it under their little tree to wait for Christmas Day.

Project Mercy gives thanks to all those who have helped us provide sturdy little houses for these needy families. In 2022 you have helped us build over 72 brightly painted houses to call home. Gracias to one and all!
